Tasmania has an unrivalled reputation for the quality of its produce and exports fine foods all over the world. Known as the Apple Isle, it has many orchards as well as boutique vineyards, lavender farms, world-class cheeses and a wealth of gourmet produce.

There are many organic growers in Tasmania and niche producers of delicacies such as saffron, truffles, hand made chocolates, smoked salmon, preserves, liqueurs, wasabi, ice creams and soft fruit.

So proud are we of our food, Tasmania holds two annual Festivals, to celebrate the abundance and variety of all the wines and foods we produce.

The Kentish region is renowned for its World Heritage status of pristine wilderness areas and contains some of the most stunningly beautiful and remote forests, lakes and plateaus.

Overlooking Sheffield, Mount Roland at 1234m provides a magnificent backdrop to daily life. Its many faces change with the light and the season, providing inspiration to painters and photographers alike.

Breathtaking views and ancient rainforests are the reason that many visitors come to Tasmania, often to experience what is now lost in their own countries. Artists in particular have gravitated to this region, no doubt drawn by the magnificence they see around them and which provides an endless supply of inspiration from which to create.
